The centre de création is an inspiring space for retreats, courses and residencies in the Dordogne region of France.

about us

about us

The centre de création is an inspiring place for retreats, courses and residencies. It acts as a springboard for new ideas, personal and professional development, and creation. Throughout the year, the centre de création offers yoga and wellness retreats, youth and professional courses, on-site residencies and presents redfest - a biannual micro festival of circus, dance and theatre that attracts both locals and summer vacation visitors.

Our vision is for the centre de création to grow into a diverse programme that is at the heart of the local cultural community giving access to all forms of live arts, creative research and opportunities to enhance your wellbeing.

Creativity needs space for inspiration, to explore a thought, let the time pass, start the process and define it. The centre de création is that space - a place where you conceive ideas, explore ways of sharing them through your body, voice or visually, and then realise them through performance or production.

2019 News

Since the beginning of 2019 we have successfully created, produced and launched a one-of-a-kind stunt show in Macau.

The Guildhall residential project happens again this March for the fourth year in a row.

We have an array of companies who will participate in residencies this year. Featuring many of the resident companies, the fourth biennial redfest of circus, dance and theatre is set for August 2019. Anyone interested in coming to help please get in touch with us.

All in all, 2019 is looking like a very eventful and creative year for the centre de création. Keep the energy alive…be inspired, be free and be bold but most of all believe.

our people

The primary purpose of all art forms, whether music, literature or the visual arts, is to say something to the outside world: in other words, to make a personal thought, a striking idea, an inner emotion perceptible to other people’s senses, in such a way that there is no uncertainty about the maker’s intention.
